What do I do if I accidentally travel through an E - ZPass lane without an E - ZPass tag?

 If you are in a Thruway E-ZPass Only lane, DO NOT STOP. Continue through the lane. If you are exiting on the NYS Thruway, the toll collector is unable to accept payment of your toll once you have entered an E-ZPass Only Lane. Wait for the violation letter to arrive in the mail approximately 4-6 weeks later and follow instructions. You may be charged an administrative fee plus the maximum toll to the point of exit, in accordance with policies for a lost ticket.
