How do I schedule a road test?

 You can make an appointment for a road test on-line or by telephone. You must have a valid certificate from a pre-licensing course (MV-278) or a driver education course (MV-285). You must have a valid NYS learner permit. You must enter numbers from the certificate and the learner permit when you schedule your road test. The DMV web site has the information and instructions to schedule a road test.
