I originally joined STRS but switched to TIAA/CREF and am now referred to by STRS as a 'Discontinued Member.' Am I eligible for any benefits from STRS?

 As a "Discontinued Member" of STRS, you may qualify for benefits based on combined service. When you cease New York State public employment, you should contact STRS for further information.
