Is assistance available for elderly victims of crime?

 The New York State Crime Victims Board may compensate eligible victims aged 60 or older for loss or damage to articles of essential personal property as a direct result of a crime, up to $500 (cash loss is limited to $100). Innocent crime victims of any age who are physically injured may be eligible for additional victim benefits.
