My husband is a World War II veteran who left high school before graduating to enter the military. I recently heard that World War II veterans who did not graduate can now receive a high school diploma. How do you go about getting one?
Operation Recognition allows World War II and Korean War veterans who served honorably to obtain a high school diploma from the school they attended prior to entering the military. The veteran should contact or write directly to the school -- or any school that succeded it during the past years -- requesting the diploma. The veteran should provide a copy of his or her military discharge.
