I have a complaint about the care and treatment at a New York State-operated or licensed facility or program for people with mental disabilities. What should I do?
It's always best to start with the program. We suggest you first contact an administrator at the program to discuss concerns. If you are not able to reach a resolution this way, most programs have a well-defined dispute resolution process you can follow. If either of these two methods is not successful, contact the Commission on Quality of Care at 1-800-624-4143, or their website, for assistance.
