What is the law in New York State on the use of seat belts and child safety seats on school buses?

 NYS law requires all school buses manufactured after July 1, 1987 to be equipped with seat belts. NYS law does not require the use of seat belts or child safety seats by school bus passengers. A school district can decide to require use of seat belts or safety seats.
