Can anyone access information regarding a person's unemployment insurance claim?
Section 537 of the New York State Labor Law prohibits the disclosure of information regarding a person's claim for unemployment benefits, or an employer's UI tax filings. Only those individuals (employer and claimant) involved in a specific claim are entitled to information regarding that claim.
